En noviembre del 2002 aparecían publicados en nuestro país los primeros 70 haikus de Santôka, La poesía zen de Santôka (Maremoto, 2002). La edición se agotó en un tiempo récord. Dos años después, en diciembre del 2004, la editorial Hiperión publicaba otros 100 haikus de Santôka bajo el título Saborear el agua, esta vez con edición crítica. La presente obra pone al alcance del público que no pudo acceder a la edición de Maremoto una cincuentena de aquellos haikus (cuya traducción ha sido revisada y corregida en su totalidad) y su excelente prólogo a cargo de Chantal Maillard. Los otros cincuenta haikus que ahora se incluyen nunca han sido publicados en castellano. La edición se ha enriquecido, además, con comentarios críticos a los haikus y comentarios poéticos a las diferentes secciones en que se divide el libro. |
