"Les Normands en Espagne", estudio de Reinhart P. A. Dozy incluido en el volumen segundo de sus "Recherches sur l'histoire et la littérature d'Espagne", es el título original de la obra que aquí se publica como "Los vikingos en España". Se ha optado por cambiar dicho título, ya que el término "vikingos" resulta más conocido y responde con mayor exactitud al contenido de la obra que refiere "las invasiones de los piratas escandinavos ... y las expediciones que hicieron los normandos afrancesados", según indica en la introducción su propio autor. Salvo esta pequeña modificación y algunas correcciones ortográficas, se ha respetado la traducción realizada por don Antonio Machado y Álvarez, que fue publicada en Sevilla a comienzos de este siglo (¿1914?)" ([p.[7]) |
