"Los manuscritos de la Biblioteca Nacional de España catalogados con las signaturas 10282 a 10287, ambas incluidas, son seis volúmenes con un tamaño uniforme de 42 por 30 centímetros, de grosor dispar cada uno, el total de cuyos folios arroja un montante de 1.847 ... contienen una traducción al español de las postillæ litterales de Nicolás de Lira a Génesis, Levíesis, Levítico, Números, Deuteronomio, Josué, Jueces, Rut, los cuatro libros de los Reyes y Salmos. El colofón más antiguo, el correspondiente a la postilla super Genesim, está datado a 12 de julio de 1420, mientras que el colofón del cuarto libro de Reyes testimonia que esta parte del trabajo se terminó el 4 de agosto de 1422... (pages 38-39)... Parece harto improbable llegar a identificar algún día el original latino empleado por Alfonso de Algeciras y Álvaro de Sevilla como texto de partida para su traducción.
