"Por la mañana también se tienen veinte años. Por la mañana también se es joven. Lejos de manidos manifiestos sobre jóvenes crápulas, Alberto Olmos proyecta su prosa sobre una juventud gris y derrotada que también existe, que quizás existe más en la realidad que en los libros, el cine o la televisión, preocupados tan sólo de mitificar con furor una edad nada mítica, reduciendo a un exiguo puñado de paradigmas espectaculares un segmento vital mucho más complejo. El protagonista de esta novela no tiene nombre, sólo tiene una voz que le habla como si no le conociera, como si no le quisiera reconocer; una voz que se pronuncia con la sinceridad del que se sabe impune; una voz cruel, injusta, parcial, irreversible y explícita. El protagonista de esta novela no es un perdedor porque sólo pierden los que intentan ganar, y él nunca quiso. "A bordo del naufragio" contiene además un ambicioso planteamiento narrativo, lleno de hallazgos y revisiones un posible maridaje de Cela y Faulkner, que permite al lector experimentar una infrecuente interpretación de lo cotidiano."
